- Description
- The mission of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Air and Marine Operations (AMO) is the identification, investigation, apprehension, and prosecution of violators of the laws of the United States. Marine assets and operations are essential to fulfill this mission. Air and Marine Operations is the first line of defense against terrorism and the smuggling of narcotics and other contraband entering the United States. To support this effort, the National Marine Maintenance Program was developed to provide CBP with a properly maintained state of the art fleet.� In order to accomplish AMO�s strategic mission there is a need to support a nationwide maintenance and logistic support program for its fleet of over 341 vessels and related equipment managed at 26 vessel maintenance sites throughout the Continental United States of America, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. CBP intends to issue a solicitation with a Request for Proposal for an enhanced three (3) level Logistics and Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services and Vessel Logistics Support Services.
