- Synopsis: The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) is a component of the Department of Defense reporting to the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness.� DeCA operates a worldwide commissary system that provides quality grocery products at substantial savings to active duty military personnel and retirees, members of the Reserve and National Guard, and disabled veterans.� DeCA's mission is to deliver a vital benefit of the military pay system that sells grocery items at significant savings while enhancing quality of life and readiness. Trash Removal Services are needed at the Fort Hamilton Commissary, NY. The Period of Performance will be for a base period starting September 1, 2020 through August 31, 2021 and will include four one-year options that may extend performance through August 31, 2025. This Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued on/or about August 3, 2020 with a tentative closing date of August 17, 2020.� This acquisition is being issued as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. This synopsis has 2 Attachments: 1) The Statement of Work for this requirement, 2) Past Performance Survey to be sent by three of the contractor�s current business references. Contractors must be actively registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) system under the specified NAICS code 562111 - Solid Waste Collection. SAM information and Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA) must be completed at https://www.acquisition.gov/ under the Acquisition Systems tab at the bottom of the page. The solicitation document and any amendments will be available at www.beta.sam.gov/ under HDEC05, DEFENSE COMMISSARY AGENCY, HDEC05-20-Q-0011.
