- This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for the Replacement of Live Front and Unfused Transformers located on Cannon Air Force Base (CAFB), New Mexico. DESCRIPTIONS: This is the notice for the government�s Request for Quotation (RFQ) FA4855-20-Q-0008, dated 13 May 2020, for the Replacement of Live Front and Unfused Transformers at CAFB, NM. COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in�FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement includes the solicitation and attachments thereto; quotes are being requested and pricing shall be completed on te solicition contract line items, reference document ""Solicitation FA485520Q0008"" pages 3 through 6. SUMMARY OF WORK: Remove, dispose and replace six (6) each live exposed wired (live-front) transformers and ten (10) each unfused transformers.� All 16 new transformers will include hidden enclosed (dead-front) features with fusing.� All work will be in accordance with the solicitation and attachments thereto.� The base purchase order is for ten (10) transformers, with options for up to six (6) additional transformers. Sustainment and maintenance will be conducted by Government employees. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: All work shall be completed 180 days after award. TYPE OF CONTRACT AND NAICS: This RFQ will result in one Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) purchase order. The North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) for this effort is Code 335311 - Power, Distribution, and Specialty Transformer Manufacturing, with a Small Business Size Standard of 750 employees. TYPE OF SET-ASIDE: 100% Historically Under-Utilized Business Zone (HUBZone) set-aside IAW FAR 19.1305(b). SITE VISIT: A site visit is scheduled for 9:00 AM MT,�21 May 2020. You must inform both Points of Contact below with the name of your attendees no later than 3:30 PM MT,�19 May 2020, to be put on the Base Access List in order to attend. Due to COVID-19, access is limited to two (2) persons from each prime company and one (1) for each subcontractor. � SOLICITATION: This official solicitation is available free of charge by electronic posting only and may be found at Federal Business Opportunities website, https://beta.sam.gov/. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued. Telephone and Fax requests for this solicitation will not be honored. Project files are Portable Document Format (PDF) files and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. To download the solicitation for this project, contractors are required to register at the SAM.beta.gov website at https://beta.sam.gov/. Amendments, if/when issued, will be posted to the above referenced website for electronic downloading. This will be the only method of distributing amendments prior to closing; therefore, it is the Offerors responsibility to check the website periodically for any amendments to the solicitation. It is the Offerors responsibility to review all the attachments pertinent to the solicitation. REGISTRATIONS: Offerors shall have and shall maintain an active registration in the following database: SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT (SAM): Offerors shall have and shall maintain an active registration in the SAM database at https://www.sam.gov/ to be eligible for a Government contract award. If the Offeror is a Joint Venture (JV), the JV entity shall have valid SAM registration in the SAM database representing the JV as one business/firm/entity. If at the time of award an Offeror is not actively and successfully registered in the SAM database, the Government reserves the right to award to the next prospective Offeror.
