Description
The Contractor Shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials and supervision necessary to remove, replace and disposals of carpet, with removal of furniture and cubicles for installation of new carpet. The following areas are excluded from the project:� breakrooms; mechanical room; ladies restroom; men�s restroom; supply room; foyer areas, breakroom�s and COMM room. The Customer shall be responsible for the removal of all personal belonging of individuals, the disconnection and reconnection of all office equipment. During the Phase of work, areas will not be occupied by personnel.�� The Contractor shall coordinate all activities with the customer two (2) business day prior to work starting in office areas (initial scheduling will be completed as soon as contractor has shipment delivery information so that customer can plan ahead).� The Contractor shall schedule work in 3 Phase�s (the Command Section (East Wing), hallways and the center Office areas, the Protocol and Event room (West Wing), noting that the event center will be the last room completed (will be used for storage of office furniture).� Some of the areas have has 12 inch blue border, the intention is to replace the existing carpet with similar carpet.� So where there currently is a blue border a blue boarder should be placed back in the same location. 1st Phase � East Wing: Commander and Support Staff Areas (East Side of Building 900, 2nd Floor) - Two tone roll Carpet in areas (Atch 3)): - 12 inch Blue Border going around rooms with center Gray Island� Command Section/AECT/CC, Staff and Hallways - Contractor require the breakdown office furniture, relocation to of furniture to the AETC Event Rm. for storage (West side of 2nd Floor). - Areas have wood base trim going around walls. Require safety in removal of carpet to avoid damage wood trim. - Once carpet is installed relocate back into Office area and reassemble to original locations. * Commanders closet will be done in the same blue as the border. 2nd Phase � Middle Areas: Hallway offices (both sides) - Rooms roll gray carpet only that matches the gray island in the command section (NO BORDER) - The hallway connecting the offices will have a 12 inch Blue Border with roll gray carpet infill - Side offices across form main hallways - Require breakdown office furniture, relocation to of furniture AETC CC Event Rm. for storage. - Once carpet is installed relocate back into Office area and reassemble to original locations. 3rd Phase � West Wing: Protocol and Event Room - Hallway offices, Protocol (Gray Carpet only) and Event Room (main area will be Gray Island carpet with the 12� Blue Border and Blue carpet on the stage itself) - Require breakdown office furniture, relocation to of furniture AETC CC Event Rm. for storage. - Once carpet is installed relocate back into Office area and reassemble to original locations. * Customer has requested that the large event room be completed last since it will be the storage area for furniture while the work is being completed. This will enable the personnel that work in the office areas to return to their locations and resume daily activities.�� During this operation and rooms are to be completed before moving forward to others areas.� Contractor shall take caution with wood trim around walls where carpet is to be removed and re-installed. During this process the Contractor provide lifting devices for the removal and moving of office furniture, equipment, and cubicles for the installation of new roll carpet with border tile and/or baseboard.� Contractor shall re-use existing baseboards replacing any damaged baseboard at their own expense. All work is to be coordinated prior to starting any operation to help minimizing interruption and operation of work. B-900 is currently utilized by the Air Education Training Command (AETC) located on Joint Base San Antonio � Randolph (JBSA-RND), Texas.� See SOW for more information.�
