Sources Sought Notice 2020-DLA_00280 Item Name:� Rate, Sensor NSN: 2590-01-674-5979 Part Number: 57K7320 MIN QTY: 43 EA MAX QTY: 750 EA End Item: Abrams M1A2 SEPv3 Item Name:� Circuit Card Assembly NSN: 5998-01-674-7536 Part Number: 57K7319 MIN QTY: 43 EA MAX QTY: 750 EA End Item: Abrams M1A2 SEPv3 � RESPONSE DATE: 04����� �AUG����� 2020 Day�� Month���� Year REQUIREMENTS DESCRIPTION: The Rate, Sensor develops ballistic solution to determine proper elevation of the main gun. The Circuit Card Assembly aids in the stabilization of the gun when the vehicle is moving. The Rate Sensor Electronics (RSE) Line Replaceable Module (LRM) houses a Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) that is part of a three LRM subsystem that provides the gyro signal processing for the Gunner�s Primary Sight (GPS)-Dual Axis Head Assembly (DAHA), the Digital Processer Card (DPC) LRM, and Gimbal Control Card (GCC) LRM to control the GPS DAHA and provide a line of sight stabilized target and engagement capability. The Gimbal Control Card Line Replaceable Module (GCC LRM) houses a Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) that is part of a three LRM subsystem that provides gimbal control for the Gunner�s Primary Sight - Dual Axis Head Assembly (GPS-DAHA). The Government does not possess the technical data package (TDP) that defines the procedures required to produce this Electronic Switch. Additionally, this sources sought notice is not for a developmental effort, but a Firm-Fixed Price Contract. The Rate, Sensor and the Circuit Card Assembly is source controlled to Kearfott Corporation. Kearfott Corporation is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the Rate Sensor Electronic w/ Container and Gimbal Control Card (GCC) with Container and owns the technical data. Kearfott Corporation is the only approved source of supply called out on the Rate Sensor Electronic w/ Container and Gimbal Control Card (GCC) with Container source controlled drawings (SCD). Kearfott Corporation has developed, tested, passed all qualification testing and obtained Government approval for the Rate Sensor Electronic w/ Container and Gimbal Control Card (GCC) with Container to be used on the Mission Control Unit (MCU) at their own cost. The Government did not fund their efforts in developing and testing this item. Only Kearfott Corporation has the capability to manufacture, perform failure analysis, develop inspection and acceptance criteria for components, repair/rebuild and test the Rate Sensor Electronic w/ Container and Gimbal Control Card (GCC) with Container that meet US Government (USG) requirements.
