- Description
- The Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan (FMM) Area Flood Risk Management Project is a large, multi-faceted project that will result in significant flood risk management for the project area. The FMM area is located on the Red River of the North. The Wild Rice, Sheyenne, Maple, Rush and Lower Rush Rivers in North Dakota also cross the project area. Fargo and Moorhead are on the west and east banks of the Red River of the North, respectively, approximately 453 river miles south of the mouth of the river at Lake Winnipeg in Manitoba, Canada. Here is a link for additional information on the FMM Project: https://fmdiversion.com/ Responses to this sources sought will be used to facilitate an opportunity for contractors indicating an interest as a Prime contractor to meet with small businesses interested in supporting this requirement as subcontractors. On September 18, 2019, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) St. Paul District will host a contractor ""Speed-Dating"" event in Barry Auditorium at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. The format for this event will have the interested Prime contractors represented and interested small businesses will be invited to introduce themselves and their services in a 5-minute meet and greet. This format is designed simply to introduce the largest number of businesses possible to each other with the intention of follow-up meetings to develop business relationships as a result. If your business interested in participating in this event, you must provide the following: 1) A capability statement expressing your firm's interest in this requirement, describing your company and its capability to complete a project of this magnitude and complexity. Include a statement detailing any special qualifications and certifications, applicable to the scope of this project, held by your firm and/or in-house personnel. 2) A statement of your firm's business size and type with regards to the NAICS code listed above. If your firm falls into one of the socioeconomic small business contracting programs (i.e., 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, or Women-Owned), please provide that information as well. 3) CAGE Code and DUNS number (for your firm and any potential subcontractors or partners). Submit this information to Ms. Christine Davis, Small Business Program Manager, via email at christine.davis@usace.army.mil. Your response to this notice must be received, in writing, on or before 4:30 PM (local time) on August 9, 2019. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. This announcement only pertains to phases of the FMM project that will be constructed by USACE and not to other phases of the overall project that are being or will be conducted by other non-Federal entities.
