- Notice of Intent to Sole Source � Wireless Services The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announces its intention to negotiate and issue a sole source award to�Verizon Wireless�to procure wireless services. Verizon wireless allows Agency personnel to use the same numbers and provides a transition with zero impact. CPSC currently uses the Verizon wireless network that utilizes the Verizon CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) network. The inventory of phones and MiFi�s presently in use utilize the Verizon network, eliminating the need for new hardware, allowing the use of existing devices. The stock of iPhone 6�s and iPhone 7�s are not compatible with other GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) networks. Verizon Wireless is uniquely qualified to provide the required specifications of the wireless services. CPSC intends to negotiate this requirement under the authority of FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(B)�and 41 U.S.C. 253(c)1. The sole source procurement will be awarded according to the procedures in FAR 8.4�Federal Supply Schedules.� Interested persons may identify their interest and submit a capability statement demonstrating their ability to meet this requirement.��� This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within�fifteen (15) business days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. �A determination by the government not to compete this proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. �Any quotation/response must be in writing and can be sent via email to the Contract Specialist at ldubroff@cpsc.gov by 12 pm Eastern Time�August 14, 2020. No phone calls will be accepted.
