Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A FIRM FIXED PRICE SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT- The Aviation Engineering Directorate (AED) of AvMC intends to solicit and award a sole source contract to The Modal Shop to�purchase� the 9155D Accelerometer Calibration Workstation upgrade which will consist of the following components and services: 9155D-ComputerR Rack mounted computer for 9155 Accelerometer Calibration Workstation; 9155D-4461 DAQ hardware upgrade option to the NI 4461 Data Acquisition Card; 9155-SW Single-seat license for 9155C Accelerometer Calibration System Control Software; 9155-TES Test Engineering Services; 9155D-831 Precision Air-Bearing shaker option for Model 9155 Calibration System. Includes 396C11 air-bearing shaker; 482A21 1-channel, line-powered, ICP� sensor signal conditioning, unity gain, BNC input/output connectors; 9155D-443 ICP� and Charge Model SUT Signal Conditioner Option for Model 9155 Calibration System; 9155D-478 Piezoresistive SUT Signal Conditioner Option for Model 9155 Calibration System including PCB Model 478A30; 401B04 ICP� sensor simulator, for signal conditioner testing; 422M184 1000 pF precision calibration capacitor in 422 housing; 9155-SC One Year Service Contract for Calibration Systems�under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source.�� The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 334111 and the Small Business size standard (1,250 people) is based on the U.S. Small Business Administration, Table of Small Business Size Standards. This sole source requirement meets the conditions of FAR 6.302-1; Only One Responsible Source Has Been Identified As Reasonably Available To Provide The Supplies That Will Satisfy The Agency Requirements. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This synopsis is for notification purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bids, quotes, or proposals. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
