- The Army Contracting Command � New Jersey, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806 issued �solicitation W15QKN-20-R-0141 to GlaxoSmithKline LLC , 5 Moore Dr Research Triangle Pk Durham, North Carolina 27709 (CAGE 667E9) for the procurement of Adjuvant System 03 (AS03) (PCS- 6505 & NAICS Code- 325412) .The Government requires the ability to procure mass quantities of COVID-19 vaccines from multiple vendors for the US population. To advance the US response to COVID-19, requirements and technology continue to be identified that are crucial to addressing the public health emergency.� Procurement of the products and technology, leading to obtaining sufficient vaccine doses to vaccinate the US population will enable the US to bring to bear the most effective measures to defeat the threat of COVID-19. �A Justification & Approval (J&A) for other than Full and Open Competition was approved pursuant to the authority of Title 10 United States Code (U.S.C.) Section 2304(c)(2), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)� 6.302-2, Unusual and Compelling Urgency. An Award under W15QKN-20-C-0048 was made on 30 July 2020 in the amount of $342,000,000.00 to GlaxoSmithKline LLC. This contract has a Period of Performance of seven months.
