Description
This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER to and is not a request for competitive proposals.��The Department of Commerce/NOAA/National Marine Fisheries Service� (NMFS) intends to negotiate with and issue a sole source, firm-fixed price award to Marel Seattle, Inc., Seattle Washington 98107-5133, under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b), and as authorized by FAR 6.303 and will incorporates clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2020-07, effective date 08-03-2020.� The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is�811219 and the Size Standard is $20.5M.� The anticipated award date is August 12, 2020. NEFSC Woods Hole, Massachusetts has a requirement for motion-compensating marine platform scales and stainless steel calibration weights, in support of the Fisheries Sampling Branch (FSB).� The FSB�s mission is to collect data by the FSB�s NEFOP (Northeast Fisheries Observer Program) as required by the Northeast Region�s fishery management plan and as mandated by the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and management Act and the Sustainable Fisheries Act.� Marine digital motion-compensating scales achieve this objective d in a more efficient, safe and consistent manner. This notice of intent is not a request for quotes. It is for informational purposes only and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. Interested parties may identify their interest by providing a capability statement not later than August 10, 2020 at 11:00AM(EST). The capability statement must provide clear, concise and unambiguous evidence substantiating capabilities that would be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.�� No solicitation package is available.
