Blast booth walls will be rubber lined for sound attenuation and to protect the surface. Also, the entire blast booth floor will be covered in steel plate to protect the surface. Equipment shall include a blast booth enclosure, abrasive reclaim system, dust collection module and control panel. Blast booth will be designed for a single operator, including an exterior glove box port. Dimensions: 8' wide x 8.5' high x 40' deep container. Includes castors (6) to allow booth to be moved around more easily. Ventilation: Blast booth shall be designed for end-to-end ventilation at 50-60 feet per minute (fpm). Air will flow from baffled intake plenum in the ceiling at one end through the working area and through a false wall / exhaust plenum at the opposite end of the booth. Our cross flow high entry inlet is designed for optimized air and material distribution. Channel baffles installed inside the inlet separate the larger dust particles, which fall directly to the floor. Regarding air outlets, the open extraction area governs the velocity through this cross section. Our extraction, specified for each booth, allows efficient extraction of airborne dust without the carryover of large heavier grit particles. Extracting from the booth through a 90- degree bend over a large area also will reduce the chance of grit carry over due to the effect of gravity Light Fixtures: Six (8) purpose built blast booth light fixtures are positioned at the eaves of the booth, angled at 45-degrees into the facility. (12) light fixtures in 40 container Abrasive Reclaim System: Vaculift System located inside of the room, above the blast pot, recovers media from the floor hopper built into blast room when the blast cycle is complete. An air wash is used to separate dust and debris from clean abrasive, which is then returned to the blast pot. Heavy contaminants are caught in a screen while the air wash transports lighter dust to the dust collector. Dust Collection Module: One (1) dust collection cartridge filter module, located inside of the room at the rear, which includes the following: False wall / air plenum Four (4) cartridge filters with reverse pulse cleaning 3 pulsing air valves for cartridge filter cleaning Dust recovery bin Exhaust fan and motor, 3phase, 230vac, 3,400 CFM Control Panel: One (1) control panel shall be factory pre-wired and tested. Individual controls shall be sequentially interlocked to ensure proper start-up of each piece of equipment Operator Safety Equipment: 1 each of the following: RPB Nova 3 Hood Package includes: Nova 3 Hood, Radex Breathing Air Filter, 50 Breathing Air Line, 1 pack each of inner, outer & tear away lenses, C-40 Climate Control Device Air Systems CO Monitor Air Systems Calibration Kit RPB Blast Suit RPB Blasting Gloves Shipping Required delivery date is 08/29/2020; Delivery Location is 66 Halligan Rd., Annapolis, MD 21402. Responsibility and Inspection: unless otherwise specified in the order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements and quality control. This announcement will close at 1600 on 08/05/2020. Contact Kione Davies, who can be reached at email kione.d.davies1@navy.mil. System for Award Management (SAM).
