DEBAKEY VA MEDICAL CENTER (VAMC), HOUSTON, TEXAS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION 36C25620Q0717 BACKGROUND: The Houston VAMC has a requirement for the following BRAND NAME OR EQUAL supplies: See SOW Attached Manufacturer Stock # Item Description TIVATOr 700 System REQUESTED RESPONSES: The intent of this Request for Information is to establish sources to define the procurement strategy (e.g. set-aside, sole source, unrestricted) for a solicitation that VA intends to post in the near future. Interested contractors are requested to respond in accordance with the following: Please respond to this RFI if you can provide the exact brand name products listed in the table in the background section above. In the response please cite your business size status. If you have an existing GSA or VA, Federal Supply Schedule contract, please include the contract details in your response. Please respond to this RFI if you can provide supplies that can be determined EQUIVALENT to the products listed in the table in the background section above. Please provide details on the proposed EQUIVALENT products such as Manufacturer Name, Part Number, and Description. If you have an existing GSA or VA, Federal Supply Schedule contract, please include the contract details in your response. Please note that VA is particularly interested in determining the availability of Small Business Manufacturers. Respondents are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. SCOPE OF WORK AND GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS For Zeiss Microscope Background: The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) is requesting procurement of the ZEISS TIVATO 700. Tivato 700 gives spinal surgeons access to cutting-edge technologies. It features workflow-enhancing visualization and gives the option for fluorescence for assessing vessel latency. It also uses 4K technology so surgeons can easily visualize procedures in high-quality resolution to enable minimally invasive spine surgery for better outcomes and faster recovery times. With Workflow-Enhancing Visualization, ZEISS TIVATO 700 makes fluorescence options for assessment of vessel patency and other applications available. Integrated 4K technology allows surgeons to visualize procedures in brilliant image quality. At the same time, assistants, OR staff and observers benefit from the outstanding resolution and image quality while following the surgical intervention  The Zeiss Tivato 700 also meets reach and flexibility requirements needed for different operating room situations. It gives spine surgeons and OR staff the freedom of positioning, including endoscopic and heads-up surgery, especially when using long instruments. Tivato 700 is all digital which means there is seamless entry into connected visualization systems. It features an intuitive and easy-to-use graphical user interface and can be integrated into a hospital s existing IT infrastructure. It can also be easily managed through the Zeiss Connect app. Project Scope: The overall scope of the project is $331,028.15 Supply Specifications: Salient Characteristics: Joint Commission Compliant Services: Warranty and Support: The warranty and support must cover all components of the requirement in accordance with standard manufacturer s warranty.
