- This is a Sources Sought Notice only. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quote (RFQ), or Invitation for Bid (IFB) and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue an order or otherwise pay for the information solicited, nor is it a guarantee of a forthcoming solicitation or contract. DLA Land Warren is seeking to identify possible sources that can supply: Item Name: Fire Extinguisher Assembly (Extinguisher, Fire) NSN: 4210-01-681-9997 Government Part Number: 12542354 Quantity: Base: 200 ea. with 100% Option End Item: This item is a fire extinguisher that is utilized on the Bradley fighting vehicle to suppress fires within the engine and cab compartment. The Government does not possess the technical data package (TDP), detailed drawings and performance specifications for this item. Additionally this sources sought announcement is not for a development effort. This survey is published in compliance with FAR Part 10 (Market Research). The purpose of this survey is to canvas the industry for any possible other sources. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals. Submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary. The Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred in responding or in any subsequent exchange of information. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice are due no later than 11:59 PM eastern standard time, August 17th, 2020. Submissions should be emailed to: amy.hahka@dla.mil. However, in order to become an approved source, potential sources will have to participate in the Source Approval Program through the TACOM Competition Management Office (https://tacom.army.mil/cmo). Potential sources should note: -Qualification testing and evaluation IS REQUIRED to become an approved source. -Source approval DOES NOT guarantee business. -Qualifying as an approved source only provides the opportunity to compete on future solicitations.
