- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Construction and Facilities Management issues this Solicitation, 36C10F20R0055, for Phase 5 expansion of Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. This requirement is being procured as a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set Aside. This project will construct additional gravesites and cemetery improvements on the existing cemetery renovation of Hemicycle and Chapel structure and interior) and includes development of approximately 50 acres of land, approximately 14,000 preplaced crypt full casket gravesites, 350 oversize pre-placed crypt casket gravesites, approximately 2,000 traditional in-ground cremains and approximately 8,000 columbarium niches. Also includes 300-gravesite Hybrid Natural (Green) Burial Memorial Wall (approximately 240 spaces) and Ossuary, new gate entrance off Aldine Western, roads, parking, access, utilities, site improvements, signage and site furnishings for the entire cemetery, updated and new irrigation system, new well, pump station and irrigation pond, and improved drainage system for 100-year storm event to prevent flooding catastrophic event. Work is to complete within 730 calendar days of receipt of Notice to Proceed. The magnitude of construction cost for this project is between $20,000,000 and $50,000,000. The applicable North American Industry Classification System is 237990 and the small business size standard is $39.5 Million. Pre-proposal conference information will provide in the Solicitation. The RFI attachment shall be submitted via email to Crystal.Cole2@va.gov. RFIs will accept until July 24, 2020. All Offerors are responsible for monitoring and downloading attachments and amendments from betaSAM.gov.
