Description
The contractor shall provide all services and supplies necessary to deliver or construct a hazardous waste accumulation point to the following specifications. - Walk-in secure storage facility--9 meters or 30 feet long by 2.5 meters or 8 feet tall by 2 meters or 6.5 feet wide. Rated safe for water polluting substances as well as flammable, toxic and oxidizing material. Roof and walls, double wall insulated side walls and floors made of fire-resistant materials. Must Meet NFPA standard for UD Class 1 and Combustible Class IIIA Indoor or outdoor installation options on existing concrete surface. Heat detector must be mounted on the inside ceiling or at waist level on the inside wall. - Ventilation system to avoid over-saturation of toxic air fumes. Ventilation system must be able to move 500 meters of air per hour. Control panel for temperature setting ajustment. There must be a temperature sensor inside and out that governs the ventilation system. Ventilation must port to the outside, no recirculating system. Fresh air must be drawn in and contaminated air must be vented out. Air ports must have fire and weather protection covers. - LED Interior and Exterior Lighting, resistant to potential fume ignitions, with intrinsically safe light switches on the inside and outside of the container. - Lockable Double Doors in the Center of the container 2 meters or 6.5 foot wide by 2.5 meters or 8 feet tall. Must have open door attachments that hold doors open when in use by personnel. - Attached Ramp leading into the container. Non-Skid surface finishing or coating required. - Container must be light color paint to repel heat, no dark colors. Hazardous Waste Accumulation Storage Area Placards affixed to front door. - Grounding cables must be attached and grounding rods provided. - Entire floor must have at least a half meter clearing from container bottom to the attachment of a grating system that will contain any potential spills. Must be able to contain 200 gallon spill indefinitely. The grating mesh openings cannot be larger than 1 inch by 1 inch.
