- This is a DRAFT SOLICITATION posting for industry questions and�comments ONLY.�Proposals are NOT due, and will NOT be accepted, nor evaluated at this time. The formal solicitation, which will require a proposal response,�will be posted at a later date. Awards from the formal solicitation will�take place after October 1, 2020.�� Prior attachments have been deleted and revised. Please review the attachments posted 08/10/2020. The response date for questions, comments, and suggestions�relating to the Draft Solicitation have been extended and ARE DUE no later than: August 17, 2020, 11:00AM EST. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is pleased to provide the attached DRAFT Next Generation (NexGen) Manufactured Housing Units (MHU) draft solicitation to obtain commercial housing units that meet the objectives in Section 408 Federal Assistance to Individuals and Households (42 U.S.C. 5174) of the Robert T. Stafford Act (The Stafford Act) as amended, which states that the President may provide financial, or other assistance under this Section to respond to the disaster related housing needs of individuals and households who are displaced from their pre-disaster primary residences or whose pre-disaster primary residences are rendered uninhabitable. This draft solicitation defines the Government's requirement for MHUs which FEMA plans to solicit and award as a Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. Please see attached draft solicitation package. Please note that suggestions, comments, questions and potential changes to the Government requirement will result in changes to the draft�attachments. Potential offerors are encouraged to provide questions, comments, and suggestions relating to the Draft Solicitation and all attachments. Questions received will be consolidated, answered, and (if deemed valuable information for all interested parties) will be posted at a later date as an update to this Special Notice.� The Government will not disclose the identity of the potential offeror asking the questions.
