Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE to VAISALA INC. RFQ# N66001-20-Q-6813 The proposed contract action is for Omni directional Antenna with Helix and Vertical Antenna and other components, which the Naval Warfare Information Center Pacific (NIWC PAC SD) San Diego intends to solicit this requirement on a sole source basis to VAISALA INC Address: 194 South Taylor Avenue, Louisville, CO, 80027-3024, under the authority of Far 13.106-1(b)(1). Justification: Under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)1;Sole source justification is based on VAISALA INC Only one source exists with no known distributors of the required product and the ONLY company that can provide the for Omnidirectional Antenna with Helix and Vertical Antenna and other components from Vaisala INC. This is a solicitation for Supplies, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all proposals received within TWO (2) days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of the determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This announcement constitutes only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number, N66001-20-Q-6813 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 334220.
