Description
This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This acquisition will be made in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 �Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and solicitation for commercial Items,� as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation (a written solicitation will not be issued) and quotes are being requested. The Solicitation number is RFQ-NIAID-2036547 and the solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2020-08, Effective 08/13/2020. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing, with a small business size standard size of 1,000 employees. This requirement is NOT set-aside for small business. This is a brand-name requirement. Background: The Laboratory of Parasitic Diseases (LPD) conducts basic and applied research on the prevention, control, and treatment of a variety of parasitic and bacterial diseases of global importance. The work of the group is largely directed toward the identification of immunological and molecular targets for disease intervention. Much of this work is directed at uncovering basic aspects of the host-pathogen interaction in both humans and experimental animal models as well as in the invertebrate vectors that transmit medically important parasites. Description and purpose of the Requirement: The T-lymphocyte Biology Section studies the immune response to various pathogen, especially BSL-3 agents. ELISA assays are a key component to understanding the immune response, as it measures various proteins levels in tissue samples. We need to outfit the BSL3 lab with an ELISA microplate reader and plate washer in order to run these assays. The microplate reader and plate washer must be compatible with our BSL2 section of the lab. Requested equipment:Gemini EM microplate fluroescence reader with current version of SoftMax Pro and AquaMax 2000 Microplate washer and accessories ALL OFFERORS MUST ALSO COMPLETE AND SIGN THE ATTACHED CERTIFICATION (VENDOR CERTIFICATION) Place of Performance: 9000 Rockville Pike, Bethesda, MD 20892 Delivery: 30 days ARO *Please include your DUNS number on quote *Include response to FAR 52.204-26 and 52.204-24 and return with quote Submission shall be received not later than 10:00 a.m. EST, August 21, 2020. The government intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to the responsible contractor as a result of this RFQ that will include the terms and conditions set forth herein. The award will be based on the following; price, capability to meet the requirements, delivery and the best value to the government.
