- SOURCES SOUGHT / REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE / BUREAU OF PRISONS METROPOLITAN DETENTION CENTER GUAYNABO SAFETY SHOES, PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT. ***THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT / REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI). THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES (RFQ) AND SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO SEEK QUOTES OR AWARD A CONTRACT AT THIS TIME. *** The Federal Bureau of Prisons has a requirement for a Firm Fixed Price contract for Safety Shoes (Boots) personal protective equipment at the Metropolitan Detention Center, located at the intersection of Road 28 and Road 165, Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, 00956. The small business size standard for this requirement is 1,000 employees and the NAICS is 316210. The contractor will various options of safety shoes, boots, and footwear to MDC Guaynabo staff members. Options provided during the performance period will be with in a pre-established price range. The expected performance period of twelve-months. The yearly estimates for the needed supplies are as follows: � Approximately two hundred (200) composite toe safety shoes. � Approximately fifty (50) specialty safety shoes, that may include but are not limited to electrical hazard safety shoes and plumbing hazard safety shoes. The contractor�s will comply with all Bureau of Prisons security standards and procedures. All contractors will be licensed in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, meet all regulatory, and license requirements in that location. The work estimated start date is October 1, 2020.
