Description

?This is a Special Notice of intent to procure emergency AC repairs for the Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Southeast Fisheries Science Center on a sole source basis with Climate Air Conditions, Inc. The Government intends to acquire services using FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures estimated not to exceed $150,000.00. The proposed vendor will complete emergency repairs on four leaking AC units within the facility as well as replace all air filters due to mold issues. The Government intends to negotiate a firm fixed price contract with the period of performance commencing immediately with work to be complete NLT 14 days from the award date. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238220 with a corresponding size standard of $16.5M. This Special Notice is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation package is available; however, other potential sources with the expertise and required capabilities may submit such data which demonstrates the requirements stated above. Submissions are due no later than September 3, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. AST, Alaska. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. It is the Government's belief that only Climate Air Conditions, Inc. can provide the emergency repairs stated above. This procurement also requires contractors to complete the electronic representations and certifications at the SAM website. All vendors doing business with the Government are required to be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM). No award can be made unless the vendor is registered in SAM.
