Description
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of Marine and Aviation Operations/Marine Operations Center � Pacific, requires MTU Detroit Diesel engines inspection and 2000-hour service for the NOAA ship Rainier in Newport, Oregon. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) Solicitation number NMAN7200-20-01677 is issued as a firm fixed price, commercial, request for quotation (RFQ). (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2020-08. (iv) This requisition is a small business set-aside under the NAICS code 336611, Ship Building and Repairing. The small business size standard is 1,250 Employees. (v) Line items are as follows: CLIN 1: 2000-hour service and inspection on two MTU Detroit Diesel engines as listed in the Statement of Need. This is a brand-name requirement. Potential vendors are required to be MTU-authorized servicing dealers/service centers (OEM Certified). (vi) Description of requirements for the items to be acquired:� This requirement is for 2000-hour inspections and service on two (2) MTU Detroit Diesel marine diesel engines. The following checks shall be performed on both engines: Emergency Stop Low Oil Pressure shut-down High Coolant Temperature shut-down A conditions found report will also need to be completed and submitted to the Port Engineer along with any recommendations for other service work.
