- Description
- NCBU is in need for one Leica vibrating blade microtome VT1200S system to accommodate ongoing experiments with animal models involved in the study of motivation and reward-responses, animal models of pain, such as neuropathic, visceral, and inflammatory, with and without opioid administration, animal models assessing consummatory and appetitive feeding behaviors, animal models assessing risk-taking behaviors, and animal models of addiction-related behaviors exhibited during opioid taking and withdrawal from drugs of abuse. NIDA lab is currently using Leica vibratomes VT1200s. Leica VT1200s system is required for continuation of the brain slice experiments in order to maintain the integrity of the research work/data.
