- This system is one of three approved DoD Active Net Anti-Ram Vehicle Barrier (See Department of Defense K12/ASTM M50). The parts are not interchangeable and there are no known distributors. The replacement nets must be purchased from the original manufacturer to maintain system integrity. Per FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii) There appears to be only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements. Creating competition and certification for this system would create a substantial duplication of costs, costs that are likely not be recovered through increased competition.
