Description

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) Office of Acquisition on behalf of its District Currency Facility, Office of Engraving intends to award a sole source contract for Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Emergency Maintenance (EM) on the nyloprint� plate processing equipment at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) facilities in Washington DC (DCF) and Fort Worth, Texas (WCF).The Government intends to award a sole source contract utilizing �Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements� IAWFAR Subpart 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). Anticipated Period of Performance: one twelve (12) month base and four twelve (12) month option years. The Contractor shall be required to provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform two (2) PM visits per year and EM services as needed for the nyloprint� plate processor equipment. These services are required to maintain crucial tolerances and adequate operations of the nyloprint� plate processor equipment to ensure that offset plates satisfy quality objectives. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive offers/quotes/proposals. A determination not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The solicitation will not be posted.
