- An Industry Day for the Building 1600 (AMC Headquarters) renovation project located at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois will be held virtually on Thursday, 08 October 2020 at 1400 HRS Eastern Time. The Industry Day will be held virtually and the slides and PROJNET instructions (for questions) will be posted on Wednesday, 07 October 2020 by close of business. Contractors planning to attend the event are asked to complete the pre-registration form attached to this notice, and return a copy to Bjorn Hale at bjorn.t.hale2@usace.army.mil or include their information in the interested vendors list section of beta.sam. A list of participants and interested firms, along with questions and responses from PROJNET, will be posted to this notice following the Industry Day. The webex application will open up for participants to log in at 1330 HRS Eastern Time. Project Description: The Building 1600 renovation will modernize a 40 year old facility and bring it into compliance with current building codes and life safety codes to include fire detection, alarm and suppression, egress requirements, electrical, plumbing, American with Disabilities Act and anti-terrorism and force protection (AT/FP).� The work in Building 1600 will include but not be limited to repair and modernization of antiquated heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems where needed (use of energy efficient equipment), plumbing, electrical, and telecommunications systems along with demolition and replacement of interior flooring and ceilings, with limited replacement of walls, and the replacement of lighting and bathroom fixtures. Solicitation Website: The official solicitations, when posted, will be available free of charge by electronic posting only and may be found at beta.sam website, https://beta.sam.gov. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued. Information regarding the issuance of the project solicitation and proposal submission will be found in the pre-solicitation notice and solicitation documents, when issued, at beta.sam. Registrations: Offerors shall have and shall maintain an active registration in the following database: System for Award Management (SAM). Offerors shall have and shall maintain an active registration in the SAM database at beta.sam to be eligible for a Government contract award. If the Offeror is a Joint Venture (JV), the JV entity shall have valid SAM registration in the SAM database representing the JV as one business/firm/entity. If at the time of award an Offeror is not actively and successfully registered in the SAM database, the Government reserves the right to award to the next prospective Offeror.
