- An Industry Day for the Joint Operations Mission and Planning Center (JOMPC) project at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois will be held virtually on Thursday, 08 October 2020 at 1500 HRS Eastern Time. The Industry Day will be held virtually and the slides and PROJNET instructions (for questions) will be posted on Wednesday, 07 October 2020 by close of business. Contractors planning to attend the event are asked to complete the pre-registration form attached to this notice, and return a copy to Bjorn Hale at bjorn.t.hale2@usace.army.mil. A list of participants and interested firms, along with questions and responses from PROJNET, will be posted to this notice following the Industry Day. The webex application will open up for participants to log in at 1430 HRS Eastern Time. Project Description: The construction of the JOMPC is a new requirement. This acquisition consists of the construction of a new 171,803 square feet (SF) facility that will utilize economical design and construction methods. The preliminary building concept design consists of a two-level structure built above grade that is primarily symmetrical and rectilinear in nature with a steel superstructure; reinforced concrete foundation walls and footings; insulated and reinforced concrete exterior walls with embedded thin brick masonry fa�ade; and an insulated standing seam metal roof. The project includes storage, communications infrastructure, air conditioning, space for uninterruptable power systems, emergency backup power generator, intrusion detection, fire detection/suppression, utilities, area lighting, general site improvements, pavement and all other required supporting facilities to result in a complete and usable facility. Work includes demolition, and design and construction of site work and utilities. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued. Information regarding the issuance of the project solicitation and proposal submission will be found in the pre-solicitation notice and solicitation documents, when issued, at beta.sam. Registrations: Offerors shall have and shall maintain an active registration in the following database: System for Award Management (SAM). Offerors shall have and shall maintain an active registration in the SAM database at beta.sam to be eligible for a Government contract award. If the Offeror is a Joint Venture (JV), the JV entity shall have valid SAM registration in the SAM database representing the JV as one business/firm/entity. If at the time of award an Offeror is not actively and successfully registered in the SAM database, the Government reserves the right to award to the next prospective Offeror.
