- UPDATE:� The RFQ associated with this Pre-solicitation notice has been uploaded to the FBO site located at the beta.sam.gov website.� The RFQ is posted under Solicitation Number 12339520Q0026. The due date for quotes is September 28, 2020 @ 11:00 AM Eastern Time The USDA Forest Service intends to issue a Request for Quotation for Crop Tree Release, Site Prep and Stand Tending.� Work will be performed on multiple Ranger Districts of the George Washington & Jefferson National Forests in VA and WV as follows: North River Ranger District: Crop Tree Release: 245 acres in VA, 175 acres in WV Eastern Divide Ranger District: Crop Tree Release:� Release 4,215 marked trees on 226 acres in VA Glenwood & Pedlar Ranger Districts: Site Prep: 76 acres in VA Stand Tending:� 87 acres in VA The Contractor will be required to furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies, and incidentals necessary to perform the work.� Work shall be accomplished by hand with the use of chainsaws or other handheld devices. The solicitation 12339520Q0016 and related documents will be available for download at the website beta.SAM.gov under Contract Opportunities on or about September 14, 2020. Interested vendors should register and follow this contract opportunity to receive notifications through the website. The anticipated period of performance for this contract will be from approximately October 15, 2020 through May 30, 2020. NAICS: 115310, Support Activities for Forestry with a Small Business size standard of $8.0 Million. This project will be solicited as a 100% set aside for Small Business. All work is to comply with local, Federal and State codes and is subject to applicable wage rates. To be eligible for award, the successful offeror shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM), https://www.sam.gov/SAM/, and have completed the online representations and certifications and be self-certified as a Small Business under the associated NAICS code.� Business concerns intending to utilize H-2B workers or migrant and seasonal agricultural workers must have a valid and current farm labor contractor certificate of registration number.
