EFFECTIVE 14 SEPTEMBER�2020: The government has issued and posted Amendment 0002�under this Solicitation.��The response due date is changed� NOT changed. A third amendment will be issued to provide additional responses to vendor questions. EFFECTIVE 04 SEPTEMBER�2020: The government has issued and posted Amendment 0001�under this Solicitation.��The response due date is changed� NOT changed. A second amendment will be issued to provide additional responses to vendor questions. By way of this Solicitation Notice, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Chicago District issues the construction Solicitation package hereunder, which is provided for�bidding purposes.� The construction�project is entitled:��""Chicago Sanitary Ship Canal Eectric Dispersal Barrier Boat Shed, USACE Chicago District."" PROJECT INFORMATION: The Contractor shall design and construct a pre-engineered building, as well as site improvements specified by the Government. Included in the base work for the contract is as follows: Install a single-story storage building with a pitched roof.� The building shall be 40-feet wide by 100-feet long and 16 feet interior clear height (18 feet minimum total wall height) from top of slab, with eight (8) electric-powered sectional overhead doors.���� Further details about the storage building are contained in the scope of work. The interior of the building shall consist of an open service bay area (see drawings for layout). The Contractor shall design the building to meet local building codes and permit requirements, as applicable. The Contractor shall acquire all applicable water, sewer, and utility permits to ensure fully functional facility. The Contractor shall coordinate with the Contracting Officer's Representative and ComEd for the provision of underground electrical service to the building for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Chicago District. Contractor shall request that ComEd provide a fault current at customer secondary side of transformer and estimated X/R ratio. An entrance and exit gravel road shall connect the building to the existing gravel road at the site.� In addition to the requirements above, the base work will consist of constructing and installing the foundation, all interior & exterior electrical components, HVAC, doors, locks, and any other ancillary work required to have an operational building. LaSalle Str., Suite 1500, Chicago, IL 60604 ACQUISITION INFORMATION: Competition for this acquisition is set aside for women-owned small businesses pursuant to FAR 52.219-30.��The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220, with a small business size�standard in dollars of $39.5 million. The magnitude of cost for construction is estimated at between $1,000,000.00�and $5,000,000.00. This solicitation (this Invitation for Bids) is downloadable from this Internet site ONLY.
