COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION **EDITED TO EXTEND SOLICITATION PERIOD TO 09/22/2020** This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart�12.6 and FAR 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Instructions to offerors, evaluation criteria, and all applicable FAR Provisions and Clauses are attached. The solicitation number is 70Z045-20-Q-PPKA30900 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). Government Estimate under $196,800.00 The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2020-08 dated 8/13/2020. This acquisition is not set-aside for small business, this is an UNRESTRICTED SOLICITATION. USCG BASE KODIAK MWR DIVISION, KODIAK, ALASKA� USCG BASE KODIAK MWR DIVISION, TIMBER FRAMED PORTABLE FLOATING DOCK IN ACCORDANCE WITH ATTACHED SPECIFICATIONS. SPECIFICATIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Dock/Pier system (floats) must to be designed to accommodate buyers current piling (10"" diameter pilings) system and gangway landing connection. Dock system is stored outside for the winter, therefore the system should be made primarily of the appropriate wood/timber that can operate/perform in water and be subjected to below freezing temperatures and exposed to harsh environmental conditions during storage, without failure. Dock system operates in harsh environmental conditions and therefore the dock system must be constructed of material that can operate and perform in high winds and significant wave action (for Kodiak, AK) with boats tied to it.� There is no breakwater to protect the system. Where Federal Acquisition Regulation clause language is inconsistent with FAR 13.004, Legal Effect of Quotations, that language is hereby tailored in accordance with FAR 12.302 to be consistent with a request for quotations. This tailoring includes, but is not limited to the following: In accordance with FAR 13.004, a quotation is not an offer, and any clause provision to the contrary is hereby modified to be consistent with FAR 13.004. Where the word ""offer/offeror"" or a derivative of that word appears, it is changed to ""quote/quoter"" or a derivative of that word.
