DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6) Sources Sought 36C24620Q1030 In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Additionally, the Government reserves the right to revise specifications, and refine contract requirements, before the release of any associated solicitation. This is not a Request for Proposals (RFP). Attached Specifications and Drawings are subject to change prior to release of any solicitation. Other information provided in this notice is subject to change prior to release of a solicitation. OVERVIEW Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 6 is conducting market research to identify potential sources for construction services to complete the below scope of work. The work site is main building 500 located in the Hunter Holmes VA Medical Center at 1201 Broad Rock Blvd. Richmond, VA 23249. A formal RFP will be issued on https://beta.sam.gov/ website on Contract Opportunities on or about October 5th, 2020 for construction Project No. 652-17-103 titled ""SPS/OR Vertical Transport"". In accordance with VAAR 836.204 (f), disclosure of the magnitude of this construction project is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. PROJECT SUMMARY The Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment, supervision, As-Built Documentation, and all other related information. Construction includes a complete system of Vertical Transports including demolition, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection/detection to: Modify existing structure to accommodate new dumbwaiters Modify existing and/or install new structure, electric power, lighting, controls and HVAC needed to have operational dumbwaiters traveling between the basement and the 3rd floors. Period of Performance: 365 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Work will likely commence late Fall to early winter of 2020. SCOPE OF WORK The Statement of Work, drawings and specifications are attached, and a revised document format of the drawings can be requested to improve clarity. The architect-engineering firm that designed the project shall not be contacted directly regarding this notice. Forward all questions to the point of contact identified below. SMALL BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS For market research purposes, all responses to this notice will be reviewed, regardless of small business/socioeconomic category, including those firms that are identified as large businesses. Review of responses to this notice will support later determination of set-aside requirements, if a solicitation becomes available, where the rule of two is met regarding a set-aside, including set-asides under 38 U.S.C. 8127 and 8128 for SDVOSB and/or VOSB firms registered in the VIP database, in accordance with priorities set by regulation. NAICS CODE: The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is NAICS 238290 - Other Building Equipment Contractors and size standard $16.5 million applies.
