- This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are hereby being requested under this combined synopsis/solicitation. A written solicitation will not be issued. This is a 100% Small Business Set-aside Request for Quotation (RFQ). The assigned NAICS is 335311 with a size standard of 750 employees. This requirement is being solicited as a commercial item acquisition prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subparts 12 and 13. Requirement Details: The Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), Sierra Nevada Region (SNR), requires transformer corrosion repairs in accordance with the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS). Tasks�include�the removal of rust, loose paint, and painting surfaces of cleaned equipment. The transformers required for repair under this contract are four (4) ABB 550/230/34.5 KV Auto Transformers. SNR operates the transformers at Olinda Substation located in Cottonwood, CA. The Period of Performance is�11/16/2020-12/31/2020. Questions regarding this solicitation must be received no later than 5 pm PST on September 24, 2020. Offerors must complete the attached form SF1449 and email offers to Jolene Daoud at daoud@wapa.gov.� No phone calls will be accepted.� Please include the offeror's Unique Entity Identifier (formerly DUNS).�Note: Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible for award.� Evaluation: Selection and Award will be made to the single, responsible offeror, whose offer conforming to the solicitation, is determined technically acceptable and offers the lowest overall price.�
