Description
The contractor shall provide the NASA Glenn Research Center with simulations, analyses, research documentation, and status reports regarding the application of High-Rate Delay Tolerant Networking (HDTN) to the Artemis mission. Task Description: The contractor shall provide NASA GRC with the following services: 1: Simulation a: NASA shall provide the contractor with initial configurations and simulations of several proposed Artemis scenarios, e.g. using SOAP or GMAT. In turn, the contractor shall expand on these simulations to include a lunar ad-hoc mobile component. 2: Analysis a: The data from the analyses will be analyzed to determine optimal communications methods/plans for scheduling and discovery of nodes. b: Probabilistic routing algorithms for DTN will be analyzed; at a minimum this includes probabilistic contact graph routing and the Probabilistic Routing Protocol using History of Encounters and Transitivity (PRoPHET). 3: Research a: The routing algorithm analysis will be used to make known shortcomings explicit, and to propose newer, improved methods of probabilistic routing in delay tolerant networks. b: The existing applications of sheaves and cosheaves on networks will be applied to the Artemis scenarios, and used to develop the mathematical foundations of delay tolerant networks.
