- Description
- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS) intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price, sole source contract to Kennebec River Biosciences Inc., to conduct testing for Infectious Salmon Anemia Virus (ISAV) HPR0 in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). Kennebec River Biosciences, is an approved laboratory certified to conduct diagnostic testing by USDA Animal Plant Health Inspection Service, (USDA-APHIS) The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 541940. This project requires testing of submitted samples for ISAV HPR0, and the evaluation will be conducted following APHIS approved testing protocols. The testing includes 1) RNA extraction from gill; 2) evaluation for detection of ISAV by real-time RT-PCR segment 8 assay; and 3) shipment of all ISAV suspect and positive extracted RNA and the respective archived remaining sample to the National Veterinary Services Laboratories for follow up testing. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. No telephonic inquires will be honored. The Government will not reimburse interested parties for any expenses related to responding to the Notice of Intent. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This will be the only notice of the Government's intent to solicit, negotiate, and award to one source to satisfy this requirement.
