Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District is issuing a set aside for certified small business contractors for the Gate Painting and Hydraulic Repairs project at the Everett Lake Dam, located in Weare, NH. The NAICS code for the work described below is 238990 (Size Standard $15.0 Million). The project is planned to be issued in November 2020, and will be set aside for Small Businesses.� The construction is expected to occur in the summer of 2021.� �The estimated magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000.� Any responsible source meeting this standard may submit a bid to be considered by the New England District. � This project has the following major components. Repainting all three gates. Paint the bonnet and cylinder housing. Provide new stop logs to dewater the conduit for repairs. Replacing float well valve cover plate within conduit. Hydraulic system repairs to include: Replacing the packings and filter elements in all three hydraulic cylinders, rehoneing stems and extension rods, and testing the hydraulic fluid Resolve the hydraulic fluid leakage at the piping entering floor trench. The painting firm for this project shall demonstrate its qualifications by providing proof of certification in the following standards promulgated by The Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC): 1.� SSPC QP 1, Standard Procedure for Evaluating Painting Contractors (Field Application to Complex Industrial Structures), 2012. 2.� SSPC QP 2, Standard Procedure for the Qualification of Painting Contractors (Field Removal of Hazardous Coatings from Complex Structures), 2009, revisions 2013.� Category A required. Please note that this solicitation is set aside for certified small businesses.� This is not a request for proposals at this time; the solicitation requirements and contract documents which will include instructions for submission and the response date will be available on or about November 2020. �Neither telephonic, mailed nor faxed requests for hard copies of this solicitation will be accepted. �The solicitation will only be available online; in order to download the solicitation offerors must access the Federal Business Opportunities website (www.fbo.gov). �All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the New England District.� Additional questions may be emailed to the Contract Specialist at guesley.leger@usace.army.mil.
