- Description
- CDC awarded contract no. 75D301-21-C-10030 to Audacious Inquiry LLC, 5523 Research Park Dr Ste 370, Baltimore, MD 21228, on October 5, 2020 in the amount of $11,895,007.07. This notices makes available a justification and approval for other than full and open competition (JOFOC) that applies to this contract. This contract was awarded under the authority of FAR 6.302-2, Unusual and compelling urgency. The purpose of this project is to obtain consultation and technical services to expand the number of immunization information systems (IIS) leveraging the Immunization Gateway. The Immunization Gateway is a critical component to ensure CDC obtains real-time or near real-time data on COVID-19 vaccine use and distribution when the vaccine becomes available. The Immunization Gateway supports the exchange of immunization data between IIS, provider organizations, consumer applications, and data submission to CDC. A procurement with Audacious Inquiry LLC was determined to be the best acquisition option. CDC required support from a contractor already engaging with IIS to perform this work. Audacious Inquiry LLC has unique experience with the Immunization Gateway and working with IIS and multi-state providers. Audacious Inquiry LLC was determined to be able to meet the Governments needs and timeline to support the collection and tracking of vaccine use data before the vaccine becomes available. This project plays a critical role in ensuring there's timely and equitable distribution of COVID-19 vaccine, tracking vaccine use across the nation, monitoring vaccine safety, and ensuring public health and health care providers have timely access to accurate information about vaccine use and availability. The attached JOFOC is being made available within 30 days of the contract award in accordance with FAR 6.305 and will remain active for 30 days.
