Description
Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8) is conducting market research to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources to provide Radiation Safety Inspection & Reporting Services to provide radiation safety inspection services for Orlando VA Healthcare System (OVAHCS) facilities located in Orlando, Daytona Beach, and Viera, Florida. Project scope: 1. The contractor shall provide radiation safety inspection services, which will include: equipment performance evaluations, initial acceptance testing for new equipment, (ongoing) development/revision of the comprehensive technical quality assurance & dose optimization program, integrity testing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and written reports, on all diagnostic imaging equipment including X-Ray, Dental, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Mammography, Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine imaging systems equipment. 2. Key Personnel. The work under the PWS requires the need of a medical physicist that meets the following qualifications: Graduate degree in medical physics or health physics or radiological health physics or a related field from an accredited college or university Current board certification by the American Board of Radiology (ABR), American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP) or the Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine (CCPM) Current licensure in the state of Florida as a Diagnostic Radiological Physicist and Medical Nuclear Radiological Physicist State of Florida approval to provide medical physics services under 64E-5.510(12)(c) and the Mammography Quality Standards Act Documented three years of clinical experience in X-Ray, CT, nuclear medicine, PET and MRI. The physicist must document the three years of experience for each modality being tested. This is a market research/sources sought synopsis only, (not a pre-solicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5). This Sources Sought Notice (SSN) is for planning/information purposes only and shall not be construed as a commitment or a promise of a contract by the Government. This is not a solicitation. This notice does not constitute a Request for Bid, Request for Quote or Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of a response to this notice. Large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this survey. For the purpose of this acquisition, the NAICS code is 541690 and the small business size standard of $16,500,000.00 is applicable. This survey is to determine the capability of potential sources and the availability of commercial sources and services pursuant to FAR Part 10. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, materials, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform radiation safety inspection services. Interested parties shall provide a capability statement of your firm to demonstrate your understanding and ability to perform as a prime contractor for Radiation Safety Inspection & Reporting Services. Capability statements shall include the following business information: a. DUNS number, business name, and address. b. Point of Contact (Including name, title, addresses, telephone number, fax number and Email address) c. Business size for NAICS: 541690. d. Socio-economic status (e.g. SDVOSB, VOSB, 8a, HUBZone, WO, Small Business, etc.) e. A narrative that addresses your firm s ability to provide Radiation Safety Inspection & Reporting Services. Interested parties shall also, provide the following information: a. Provide a résumé demonstrating three-years of clinical experience in X-Ray, CT, Nuclear Medicine, PET, and MRI. b. Provide copy of current ABR, ABMP and/or CCPM Certification of Medical Physicist. c. Provide the number of Medical Physicist in your staff. d. Provide copy of current licensure in the state of Florida as a Diagnostic Radiological Physicist and Medical Nuclear Radiological Physicist. e. Provide the number of times your firm has provided radiation safety inspection services within the past 12-months. f. Provide how your firm will meet onsite emergency response notifications for VA facilities in Orlando, Daytona Beach, and Viera, Florida.
