Description

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) intends to issue a noncompetitive contract to JEOL USA, Inc., 11 Dearborn Rd., Peabody, MA 01960-3862 (DUNS 049410087). Services will involve performing preventative service of one electron microscope, model JEM-100SXand components located at the Beltsville Agriculture Research Center in Beltsville, MD. JEOL USA, Inc. is the original equipment manufacturer. See attached justification for other than full and open competition. The Government contemplates the award of a firm-fixed-price contract consisting of a base year and four option years. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, all responsible sources may submit a response which shall be considered by the agency. Responses must be received no later than November 5th, 2020. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Respondents should ensure the information provided is detailed, current, accurate, and complete. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is solely within the discretion of the Government.
