- Only one response is necessary for this announcement. �This notice is for market research purposes only and does NOT constitute a request for proposal. �This notice shall not be construed as a contract, a promise to contract, or as a commitment of any kind by the Government. �The Government is NOT seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. Failure to respond to this Request for Information (RFI) does not preclude participation in any future Request for Proposal(s) (RFP(s)), if any is issued. If an RFP(s) is issued, it will be synopsized on https://www.beta.sam.gov. This Sources Sought/RFI noticed is issued by the Department of the Navy, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Program Executive Office (PEO) Unmanned and Small Combatants (USC), Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Mission Modules (MM) Program Office (PMS 420). �The Navy is conducting market research in accordance with FAR Part 10 to determine if sources exist that are capable of satisfying the Navy�s anticipated program requirements for the LCS MM Program.� �� The objective of this RFI is to conduct market research on industry capabilities to provide engineering support services, developmental design efforts, production/manufacturing, in-service engineering agent / sustainment services, and logistics support for the LCS MM Program. �Information is sought to help determine the level of interest, technical and manufacturing capabilities, knowledge, experience level, and qualifications of industry to meet the Government�s needs. The Navy is approaching this opportunity with the ultimate goal of increasing competition. �With this market research, the Navy intends to explore potential opportunities to divide the scope of work into multiple procurements and examine alternate solutions to meet future requirements of the LCS MM Program. �Additionally, the Navy is interested in technical, administrative, and business risks in pursuit of the desired outcomes. �These efforts are intended to serve as a follow-on to the scope of work performed under contract number N00024-17-C-6311. The Navy is seeking information regarding solutions that can meet either all, or a subset, of the LCS Mission Modules Program requirements as described in this RFI. �For purposes of reviewing responses, the Navy has organized efforts into three task areas (1) Engineering Support Services, (2) Production Hardware, and (3) Operations and Sustainment Services. �The Navy is willing to consider other solutions to segregate efforts and organize requirements into distinct efforts. �The RFI responses may be used by the Navy to shape the solicitation, such a separating the requirements and associated efforts into multiple solicitations.
