Description

The USDA Forest Service, Southern Research Station (SRS), intends to issue a firm fixed price, sole source award for grounds maintenance services for its leased property at Warren School of Forestry, University of Georgia (UGA) Whitehall Forest.� Services will be performed at the Athens Forestry Science Lab facility located at Whitehall Forest, 155 Phoenix Road, Athens, GA. This procurement is being conducted under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) � Simplified Acquisitions.� The reason for the authority cited is since the SRS property for which these services will be performed is secured and controlled by UGA, soliciting from another source would be impractical. �It is more advantageous to the Government to continue the contract services with UGA, for 1 base year and 4 option years period of performance. The anticipated award date is November 24, 2020.� A solicitation will not be issued. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.�
