- INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6, Hampton, VA 23667 intends to enter into a sole source contract on behalf of the Fayetteville VA Medical Center, 2300 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301with Spectrum Enterprise, 6501 Weston Parkway #100 Cary, NC 27513. The anticipated Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract requires services that include cable TV for 185 + cable TV outlets, provide business class internet service and maintain the entire infrastructure and distribution equipment located at 2300 Ramsey Street Fayetteville, NC 28301. Vendor must be able to support the current Spectrum equipment and cabling infrastructure as well as being able to support the expansion of cable and Wi-Fi service coverage which includes fiber installation and Wi-Fi Access points. This contract requires the installation of cable from Street to building and setup of equipment with no interruption of service during inclement weather. Due to the proprietary nature of the Spectrum Cable infostructure, and sole ownership of the supplied components, only Spectrum Cable, can perform the service. The assigned NAICS is 519130 Internet Publishing and Broadcasting and Web Search Portals, and the associated small business size standard is 1000 employees. Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501. This notice of intent is not a request for quotation. Interested parties may identify their interest in the requirement and capabilities to Mitchell.Carpenter@va.gov no later than 3:00 PM EST, Tuesday, November 10, 2020. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the government. No solicitation will be made available. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the government not to complete this proposed contract based upon responses to the notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
