- Description
- The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island, Rock Island, IL 61299, intends to award a modification to Option Year One that is Firm-Fixed-Price, Time-and-Materials, and Cost-No-Fee, to IAP Worlwide Services, Inc.., under authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, for Satelite Communications (SATCOM) Support Services. Multipe sources sought notices resulted in no vendors capable of meeting all of the Government's requirements. No vendors responded to the previous sources sought�W52P1J-20-SOURCES-JA posted on 27 August 2020. As described at FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(A) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(B), for DoD, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and the Coast Guard, services may be deemed to be available only from the original source in the case of follow-on contracts for the continued provision of highly specialized services when it is likely that award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition, and when it is likely that award to any other source would result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency�s requirements. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.� This is a notice of intent to award a sole source modification for SATCOM Support Services. �The Contracting Officer determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one responsible source is currently available.. The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island intends to make a sole source award to IAP Worldwide Services, Inc., 7315 N Atlantic Ave, Cape Canaveral, FL 32920-3721.
