Description
This notice is for Solicitation Number 36C24221Q0095 - Replace Bulk Oxygen Fence at Northport VA Medical Center, 70 Middleville Rd., Northport, NY 11768. This shall be a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) Set-Aside. As a result, all VOSBs may submit an offer, which will be considered by the agency. This project is classified under NAICS Code 238190 and has a size standard of $16.5 Million. The cost estimate range for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. WORK DESCRIPTION To remove existing fencing and reconfigure the gates to comply with the codes. Contractor will remove the fencing and move the upper 6' fence onto the wall where the portable oxygen tanks are stored. Contractor will have to change the swing of the gate that leads to the loading dock platform. That gate is not in compliance with the code because it swings into the space. The second gate on the upper portable storage would be removed due to no staircase or ladder. Contractor will place an additional section of roofing be added to the roof to keep the weather and birds out of the area that has portable tanks are stored. To keep the weather out, the contractor will install privacy slats on upper fencing to keep snow and rain from entering the space. All the specifications are in the scope of work detailed to bring both areas up to code and comply with codes. Contractor will place precautionary signs no more than 25 feet apart. See Layout and Spec for more details. Contractor will be required to provide all supervision, labor, material, equipment, tools, supplies, and all logistical needs to complete project in a clean safe and Professional manner. Contractor and his personnel will provide a company representative will attend all meetings, no work will be performed until we get schedule approved by all sections affected by this project, as well as senior leadership. Contractor will need to get a burn permit from VAFD if any cutting or welding emits spark or flame in the area VA designated for contractor to conduct that type of operation. All contractors' personnel on site will be required to have a minimum of a 10-hour OSHA, Foremen and competent person shall have a minimum of a 30-hour OSHA course. All personnel are required to wear proper PPE for type of work they are doing. Contractor will be required to clean area every day broom swept; debris removed. Temporary fencing will be installed to block people and vehicles from entering area. Work must be performed in accordance with all Federal, State and local codes. Contractor will be responsible for any damage done by his personal or equipment, any damage must be reported immediately to VA representative. The solicitation will be released on or about 11/06/2020. The response submittal address, date and time will be included in the solicitation. All prospective offerors must be currently registered in www.sam.gov and be registered and verified as a VOSB in www.vip.vetbiz.gov at the time of offer submission and before award of this procurement.
