Description

Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility intends to award a sole source contract under the authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, ""Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements."" The Government intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract to Shimadzu Scientific Instruments to provide preventive maintenance, repair and technical support of laboratory equipment in accordance with current OEM guidelines. No other vendors were found when Sources Sought Notice was posted on 5 Oct 2020 that are licensed by the manufacturer to provide support and maintenance. The complexity of the equipment requires that only compatible, performance verified parts and factory licensed service engineers can perform maintenance and repair. The applicable NAICS code assigned to this procurement is 811219. The size standard for this NAICS code is $22M. The Product Service Code is J066, Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Equipment-Instruments and Laboratory Equipment. The tentative Period of Performance is 20 Nov 2020 � 19 Nov 2021. This solicitation will close on 17 NOV 2020, 3:00 PM HST.
