Description
This is a Sources Sought to conduct market research for developing a procurement strategy for an upcoming Design-Bid-Build construction requirement for Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Disposition Services Warehouse located at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.� THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. �A solicitation is currently not available. After review of the responses to this notice, and if the Government still plans to proceed with the acquisition, a separate solicitation announcement will be published in Federal Business Opportunities. �Responses to this Sources Sought will not be used as adequate responses to any future solicitation announcement.� This Sources Sought notice is a market research tool used for planning purposes only to gain knowledge of the interest, capabilities, and qualifications of interested firms. �The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction) and Product or Service Code: Z2GZ, with a small business size standard of $39.5M. �A concern is considered a small business pursuant to 15 U.S.C. �632(a)(2)(C)(i-iii) and 13 CFR 121. PROJECT INFORMATION: The Seattle District is anticipating a solicitation to renovate an existing warehouse used for material disposition for the Department of Defense.� The warehouse is approximately 55,900 Square Foot (SF) with a total of one bay.� General work to be performed includes: 1) demolition of existing pallet racks, cages, and all associated warehouse equipment, 2) diamond polishing/repairing concrete floors/add striping, 3) installation of pallet racks, pallet wrapping machines, and security cages, 4) install forklift charging stations with exhaust and eyewash systems, 5) �remove/replace lighting to LED, and 6) reinstall IR heating. The magnitude of this construction project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS Interested firms should submit a capabilities package limited to five (5) pages and include the following: Firm's name, address (mailing and URL), point of contact, phone number, and email address. Examples of past projects as the Prime Contractor/Joint Venture (J-V) similar to the scope above. Contractor must provide a brief description of experience in performing similar projects for renovation/construction of similar size, complexity and scope completed within the last six years. Examples should include the following information: Evidence of demonstrated experience with the renovation/construction of facilities of similar function, size, and complexity; and A description of the project, customer name, timeliness of performance, customer satisfaction and dollar value of each project. CAGE code and DUNS number of your firm. Firm's Joint Venture Information, if applicable. Bonding Limits: (1) Single Bond, (2) Aggregate. NOTE: PRIME CONTRACTOR MUST BE ABLE TO BOND FOR THE ENTIRE AMOUNT OF THE PROJECT. Please note that this research is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for competitive bids/proposals and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit, in writing, complete information describing their interest and ability to meet all requirements stated above. Associations may be as joint ventures or as key team subcontractors. Responses to the Sources Sought notice should be received as soon as possible but no later than 1:00 pm (Pacific Time) on Monday, 30 November 2020.
