- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), requires Trichinella pig/pork testing services. The primary objective of issuing this Source Sought Notice is to seek information from vendors/laboratories with the capability to provide Trichinella pork/pig testing services.� The testing will be used to provide surveillance of Pork Quality Assurance (PQA) pigs, using the artificial direction methods; and to study packing data.
