Description

Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to procure from Daico Industries, Inc (Daico) the RF Detector 20:1 Switch (20:1 Switch) part number 1000D1720 used as a sub-assembly (SRU) to repair the ARSR4 RF Detector Line Replacement Units (LRU). Daico Industries is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and is the only source capable of meeting the FAA�s requirements due to part availability and obsolescence concerns.� The proposed NAICs code for this acquisition is 334419, Other Electronic Component�Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 750 employees. This announcement is for informational purposes only, not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal. A competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement.
