Description

This is a Notice of Intent to sole-source the renewal of the ArcGIS software (technical support plus Esri software updates/upgrades) from ESRI. The software is already existing and on-hand. The United States Marine Corps intend to procure a renewal maintenance for ArcGIS 10.4 software for FY21. ArcGIS is a Geographic Information System (GIS) for working with maps and geographic information. It is used for: creating and using maps; compiling geographic data; analyzing mapped information; sharing and discovering geographic information; using maps and geographic information in a range of applications; and managing geographic information in a database. In particular, the Modeling and Simulation Branch at Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory and the Training and Education Command (TECOM) is reliant on this software for generating maps in support of simulation capabilities. Award is expected to be made on or around 11 December 2020, in accordance with FAR Part 13 procedures. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Capability statements or quotes, if received timely, will be considered; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� Responses shall be emailed to oshane.r.francis@usmc.mil no later than 25 November 2020, 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time. Late responses will not be considered.
