Description
Individual Writing Coaches for legal writing �� This is a Sources Sought announcement only and is not a solicitation for proposals.� No contract will be awarded from this announcement and respondents will not be notified of the results of this notice.� In order to proactively plan for future requirements, CFPB is conducting market research to locate qualified, experienced small business, such as an 8(a), to provide individual coaching for legal writing. Please see the Draft Performance Work Statement that outlines the description of services that will be required. The purpose of this announcement is to: Determine what sources exist that are capable of satisfying the Government�s requirements listed in the draft PWS, Determine the capabilities of potential contractors, Determine the size and status of potential sources, Determine the level of competition, and Determine appropriate pricing structure (the CFPB is contemplating firm fixed pricing) Responses to this Source Sought Notice will be used by the Government in making appropriate acquisition decisions. Scope: The scope of this effort is to assist the CFPB to improve writing quality by providing individual coaching sessions. Anticipated Period of Performance:� February � May 2021 30 - 45 minute to 1-hour sessions Any firm that wishes to be considered for this requirement must submit a capability statement that demonstrates its ability to meet the requirements described below. The capability statement must not exceed five (5) double-spaced pages and shall include the following information: A brief two or three page synopsis of similar work performed in the past, including the dollar value of the experience(s) provided. Company Name, DUNS Number, Address, Point of Contact, phone number and email address Corporate structure (corporation, LLC, sole proprietorship, partnership, limited liability partnership, professional corporation, etc.) to include socioeconomic designation of the company (i.e., 8(a), HUBZone, Women Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, etc.). GSA schedule number References, including name, phone number and email address of individuals who can verify the demonstrated capabilities identified in the responses; If there are any other questions or comments, please submit them along with your response. Anticipated Task: Provide multiple one-on-one coaching sessions (usually 40 minutes in length), where a sample of each participant�s writing is edited and the participant's writing strengths and problems are discussed. These individualized critiques should address: document organization, paragraph construction, sentence structure, and word choice. The contractor should provide consultants who have: At least three years of experience in coaching legal writing skills.� J.D. degree (preferred) Coaching or training certifications. Preferred trainer has publications on effective legal writing. Outstanding oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Any contract that might be awarded based on information received or derived from this Notice will be the outcome of the competitive process IF A SOLICITATION IS ISSUED, IT WILL BE ANNOUNCED AT A LATER DATE, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this request for information.� No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement. �
