- The Government is issuing this Sources Sought Notice to determine a competitive basis. This is not a solicitation. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this survey. This questionnaire is for market research purposes only. Only contractors capable of performing this type of work should respond to this notice. Requirement The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Nashville District anticipates soliciting a requirement for a firm fixed price construction contract for the installation of new cable, conduit and cable trench system from the switchyard vault to the switchgear and adding new termination cabinets in the switchyard vault at Old Hickory Power Plant, Hendersonville, Tennessee. An optional item will be replacing cable from the new termination cabinet in the switchyard vault to the first point of termination in the powerhouse. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.00. The types of work and skill sets for this requirement are as follows: a) Installation of a new precast concrete cable trench system from the switchyard vault to switchyard equipment. Trench system transition space from the existing switchyard vault to the new trench system will be included. b) Installation of new termination cabinets in switchyard vault. c) New cables will be routed from the new termination cabinets in the switchyard vault to the loads at the switchyard via a new trench system. d) Optional bid item: replacement of cables from powerhouse to termination cabinet in switchyard vault. These cables will match number of conductors as new cables installed to switchyard equipment. The anticipated NAICS code is 237130, Power and Communication Line and Related Structures Construction, with a small business size standard of $39.5 million in annual receipts. Survey The Government is issuing this notice to determine a competitive basis. This is not a solicitation and the items listed herein are subject to change or eliminated from the requirement. This questionnaire is for market research purposes only. Only contractors capable of performing this type of work should respond to this notice.
