- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE.� THIS NOTICE IS ISSUED FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY.� THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR INVITATION FOR OFFERORS TO SUBMIT QUOTES.�� A SYNOPSIS OF PROPSED CONTRACT ACTION MAY BE POSTED AT A LATER DATE WHICH WILL PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS FOR OFFERORS TO RESPOND TO THIS OPPORTUNITY. Please only respond to this sources sought notice if you are interested in submitting a quote and capable of performing the work required to complete the project. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) anticipates the need for a firm-fixed price contract for a project entitled Replacement of three #2 AWG 15 kV Power Lines and all of its components at the Federal Medical Center (FMC), Carswell, Fort Worth, TX. The following brief synopsis should not be considered inclusive of work required to complete the project.� The purpose of the project is to remove and replace three #2 15 kV cables and one #6 THHN ground with approved equal between the exterior and interior switches noted on the contract drawings.�The contractor shall replace three fuses for the 500 kVA Dry Type Transformer.� All fuses are CXN type, 9570D02G03�style.�The contractor shall assume costs of cable length up to 500 feet each.� Each cable shall have new cold shrink terminations.� The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, supplies, tools, and equipment to carry out the work in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation� (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $25,000 and $100,000. (NOTE: This range is one of 8 available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range.� It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range.) The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 237130 with a corresponding small business size standard of $39.5 million. Interested parties must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www. sam.gov. The BOP is seeking small business contractors for this project.� Your business size metrics information entered in your SAM registration must be less than�or equal to the small business size standard specified above.� Interested small business contractors are requested to respond to this notice by adding their names to the Interested Vendors List for this posting in beta.sam.gov (must be logged-in to your account). The synopsis of proposed contract action will include further instruction for responding to this opportunity.� Interested offerors are advised to continuously monitor beta.sam.gov for all future updates.
